Lignin restricts the digestibility of the fiber fraction of forage.When lignin is removed, the digestible fraction of the fibers (hemicellulose, cellulose) are then more accessible for micro-organisms to convert to nutrients that the animal can utilize.

Levucell^®SC stimulates the number of and activity of the bacteria that break down hemicellulose and cellulose in the rumen converting them into nutrients that the animal can utilize.
